History Of Healing Hands Mobile Vet
Dr. Carissa Haverly grew up in Prescott, Arizona, a small town with a rich cowboy history tucked into the Arizona chaparral. As a child, she dreamed of being an artist, which suited her sensitive and creative demeanor. However, her parents must have known she was meant to be a veterinarian because the name Carissa means “a tender touch.” Carissa always loved animals, and growing up, she had several pocket pets, dogs, cats, and even a horse. Every summer, her clubhouse would become home to local wildlife in need of aid. Once they were healthy, they were returned to the wild.
Dr. Carissa attended Northern Arizona University and graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Biology with an emphasis in Ecology and a minor in Studio Art. Afterward, she attended the University of Minnesota and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2012.
As an adult, Dr. Carissa loves surrounding herself with living beings. She shares her home with three cats, two dogs, tropical fish, finches, a tortoise, four beautiful horses, and an incredibly understanding husband. Her hobbies include daydreaming, reading, painting, horseback riding, and gaming.
